The above chart shows how the proposed health care system currently working its way through Congress will be organized. It can also be found here . I have seen the future of American Medicine and it's . . . . neurofibrillary tangles. That's right, the new health care system is based on Alzheimer's Disease.
Merry Christmas to all…especially the ones working!

I'm gonna quit bitching about the Krebs Cycle.
hmmm,
straight out of the GOP's playbook, the guys who's best friends are insurance companies..
Yeah, that's an impartial evaluation
Chutes & Ladders, Does it come with little crutches, stethoscopes and sample cups to play with. Think I saw the rules someplace, no roll of the die for even numbers on Tuesdays or months with less than 31 days.
Okay anonymous 07/20 at 9:53 pm. Here's the link to the whole @#$% thing. Take a look at it (dare you to read it all) and tell me how this monstrosity does anything to either improve delivery or simplify our current system?

sorry,,
saw on Faux news already
when 35% of the people I see are not paying,(and I'm a supposed "Highly paid" surgical specialist, I can't afford the people I employ, and the whole system is collapsing, then doing nothing is not the answer.
And I went to Med school, like you did, I can and did read it. As well as the WHOLE bill, did you?
Great Diagram. I agree fully.
Definitely a Republican created chart. The Republicans' solution is what? Let people become disabled or die? (Like they do now)
How will members of Congress get re-elected (or elected) without all that money from the health care industry? The status quo really simplifies things, in the short term, doesn't it?
Any of the anti-universal, affordable, quality health care people have any solutions? Do we keep on giving everything to the Seniors and let the young die or become disabled (even blind because they don’t have health insurance or money to treat TYPE 1 diabetes)?
Have any of the Big-O cheerleaders tried even looking to see the other proposals. Nah, they just spout the same old tired, "Republicans can only say no."
Most Republicans I know support the idea of medical savings accounts with insurance only for catastrophic events. We don't expect our car insurance to pay for our oil changes - why shouldn't we have to pay for our annual CBC, etc. Guaranteed if people were allowed to actually shop around the price would come down.
Get the employers out of the picture. Use fines or incentives to mandate coverage for the catastrophic stuff and chronic diseases. Make people responsible for themselves. Don't allow the insurance companies to deny care to sicker people - if they're offering a policy that covers "everything," then "everybody" should be charged the same rate, or at least very broad categories such as auto insurance.
If you give a stroke patient or their family $2K to go out and buy a wheelchair and let them spend the leftovers on toilet extenders, a bath bench, etc., they're going to make a much better deal than the government will. They'll be less likely to demand the Cadillac/Lexus of wheelchairs if they find they have to chip in the extra $5 grand to get it.
Lots of ideas without government doing any more than making insurance more competitive with each other.
I like the idea of getting the employers out of the health insurance biz. Would level the playing field really quickly, but can you imagine the screaming from those who've had cheap insurance all their lives now having to pony up.
Ditch the HSA and make routine stuff cheaper. Oil changes would be $250 if auto insurance were like car insurance. There is no reason a 10 min annual exam should be $200, like I paid for 6 months ago (out of pocket, even though I have insurance.)
What's the matter with catastrophic coverage, and out-of-pocket for clinic visits? before you all bash me for being out of touch, all the uninsured and Medicaid folks I see can still afford their increasingly pricey smokes (easier of course, with government-funded children).
