The White House has announced that it is partnering with the Sesame Workshop in "stressing healthy habits to prevent H1N1 flu."
"Come on! Wash your hands with Elmo! Wash, wash, wash!" the Muppet from Sesame Street sings in a public service announcement released Tuesday by the Obama administration. "Sneeze into your arm with Elmo," the character adds. "Ah-choo!"
Using the Muppets as a mascot to get health pointers across is probably a great idea. Four reformatted Sesame Street videos are being posted at Flu.gov and others health education videos would be produced. I cannot wait for the "safe sex" ones to come out. Kermit and Miss Piggy, you're on! Or how about Big Bird talking about herpes?
