Do you have an addiction to the web? Do you have $14,000 to spare? Well, a new rehab center, called ReSTART, opened this July in Fall City, Washington and offers a 45-day program intended to help people wean themselves from pathological computer use. Don't laugh. On the surface this may seem ridiculous but American teens spend about 7 hours a day on screen time. They are getting more socially retarded and nature deficient by the day. Forget about the fact that are getting Rickets from lack of sunshine. This facility has people go cold turkey and includes not only counseling and psychotherapy sessions but doing household chores, working on the grounds, going on outings, exercising and baking cookies. Hey, wait a minute. The facility has no technology, collects $14,000 for up to six people at a time, and makes them do all the work! Genius. I need to start something like that.
