As the healthcare reform debate rages on and insane decisions are being made, no one can find Dr. Benjamin. If you don't know her, she is our new Surgeon General. The "nation's doctor" is a family doc and has an incredible opportunity to speak about the need for more primary care physicians in this country as well as ways to fix our system. She did speak up for a little yesterday about the need for more minority doctors and though this is important it really is out of context when looking at what is going on at Capitol Hill. Has she been silenced by the Obama administration like the other Surgeon Generals were (in the Bush administration)? If she does not speak about healthcare reform now then when? I have always been led to believe that this position was a joke and I am starting to believe it. Dr. Benjamin, where are you?
