The Look by Ted Bacharach MD (retired)

It was many years ago that I was on a plane to attend a medical meeting back east. Notably, one of the “academics” had shorn all his locks and his head was clean shaven. We all wondered why this transformation. I felt obligated to ask him why he had made this apparent change. His reply was interesting; he informed me that in the job he had been assigned he had many unpleasant duties to perform and since he had to act like a “prick” he felt he might as well look like one. I am sure all of the clean shaven heads today have better reasons and the look is much more fashionable and hopefully it is not because many more people have similar jobs!

I can only quote Dave Barry: a black man with a shaved head looks cool, but a bald white man looks like a giant toe.
