A Russian man died in the Sauna World Championships, an event that started in 1999 and now will never be held again. There were 130 participants from 15 countries who tried to stay in a 230 degree Fahrenheit sauna the longest. The last two had to be pulled out after collapsing from the heat and had severe burns. Tim Kaukonen from Finland survived and won. Vladimir Ladyzhenskiy....not so much.
I mean, c'mon, it's not like someone couldn't have seen this coming. What's next? How about a razor blade eating contest or a carbon monoxide breathing contest. Any other ideas?
