The mission of this blog is to connect us back to the roots of medicine. It is about fighting back against those things that are taking us away from the direct care of patients while still pointing out the lunacy and hypocrisy of this job.

Question from an Internist to a FP by Stella Fitzgibbons MD
Some of you docs have practices where whole families come in for care, and I was wondering how you handle conflicts ("How can you take her side? You were MY doctor first!"). I mean, some of you are in small towns where people who rub each other the wrong way can see their archenemy coming into or leaving the office. Heck, what did Marcus Welby do with conflicts of interest like this? Surely my grandfather had to deal with similar and worse situations. Do they teach you anything helpful at FP training?
