41 Percent

A report by the Commonwealth Fund found that in a state-by-state analysis of private employer health insurance plans, the costs for six years (2003-2009) increased by an average of 41 percent. I have ripped on the Commonwealth Fund because they are so biased but these numbers are pretty amazing. Unless they are fudged (highly possibly with this group) then this type of gouging makes me sick. No one's salary I know went up 41% in those years. Wait, sorry, a lot of managed care CEOs had those kinds of raises.

We need affordable health care in this country because no one can keep paying this much!
