Good news. A new medical school that is for-profit is opening in Palm Beach, Florida. This means it is being funded from private investors. I am not sure of the legalities of this but I guess it is controversial Anyway, to get this done they used the old stand-by line about trying to address physician shortages. Yeah, right. The cost of the school is going to be $50K a year just for tuition. With room and board that could be over $60K, at least. Well, I guess there will be no primary care doctors coming out of Palm Beach Medical College.
