The WSJ keeps poking around the Medicare billing codes and keeps finding doctors who defraud the system. It makes me so sad but there are bad apples in every profession. Check out Christopher G. Wayne, a family doc in Miami, who had been making millions using physical therapy codes. C'mon, dude. You make us all look bad. Stop being so greedy! It looks like Medicare has stopped paying him but now he is doing something different:
Dr. Wayne now works in a pain-management clinic in Fort Lauderdale. He said he doesn't have a board certification in pain management, and said the clinic accepts only cash. Of his patients at the clinic, Dr. Wayne said, "I write their pain prescriptions, and they're gone."
Are you kidding me? You are admitting to being paid for narc scripts. Someone is going to get into more trouble.
