A nursing student in Kansas City was thrown out of college because she put up a picture of herself posing with a human placenta on Facebook. She and other students had been in a lab session and took the picture with the evil placenta without a peep from the instructor. That is when all hell broke loose. They were all thrown out of school with the director of nursing, Jeanne Walsh, telling them that "your demeanor and lack of professional behavior surrounding this event was considered a disruption to the learning environment and did not exemplify the professional behavior that we expect in the nursing program". You have got to be kidding me? I would have been kicked out from every school or job I have ever been involved with under these standards. I mean it wasn't like these woman were wearing the placenta as a hat or pretending to throw it in the air like a pizza (all of which would be funny). Is there no humor left in this world?
