The story of Ted Williams, not the dead Hall of Famer but the homeless dude, is truly an amazing one. Or is it? By now I am sure all of you have heard of his story. He is the man with the golden voice who was found by a videographer on the side of the road. The rest is history after it hit YouTube. I truly wish him the best because the media frenzy seems to be overwhelming him. His last radio gig was 2008 and then things went down hill with drugs, alcohol and homelessness. What the media loves more than a great rags to riches tale is a riches to rags tale. I would not be surprised if a lot of dirt about Ted doesn't come out soon. Also, from watching him, my gut tells me that he really needs a psychiatric support system or he is going to break again. Go slow, Ted, and stay interesting my friend. The world is now your oyster. Don't blow it by drinking it away.
