A year after Anthem Blue Cross tried and failed to raise rates as much as 39% for about 700,000 California customers they are now going for a rate hike, on some, of 59%. Makes sense. They are just trying to make up for what they didn't get last year.
I do not know the answer to fix this mess but letting managed care make these kind of increases just blows me away. I feel like those infomercials where the stooge says, "There's got to be a better way!". I wish I knew what that was.
