Legitimate medical marijuana centers seem hard to come by in California. The problem is a common one and each state has to deal with it. In this article in the NYT you can see how many places have popped up and how many are subverting the law. San Jose has 98 dispensaries which is four times the number of 7-Eleven convenience stories in the city! This makes no sense because where are the patients supposed to get a sh&tty burrito after smoking the bejesus out of their "medication"? I understand that weed may have some medicinal properties. That small need, and it is small, is so overwhelmed with people trying to scam the system (patients and sellers) that this whole phenomenon is becoming a joke. I mean, c'mon, does San Jose really need 98 dispenseries?
