Ear Gems

I pulled many an object from patient's ears over the years but nothing worth any money. Sure, most of it was ear wax that looked impressive and with a little hard work can be molded into a tiny Elvis or nativity scene but still, nothing worth any money. Though, if you are interested in purchasing these mini-creations please give me a ring. The miniature cerumen Walt Disney World, however, is not for sale. Anyway, I digress. A 46 year-old dude just found a pearl in his ear that was stuck there since he was age 5. That's 41 years! I still think the doc or nurse who actually pulled it out should keep it. Finders keepers, you know. It is amazing that this gentleman never realized it was there or noticed any hearing loss. I wonder if a pearl gets any more valuable over the years? You would think it would. Anyway, this story is impressive but is nothing compared to the hospital CEO who stuck a piece of coal in his rectum and a few days later had diamonds extracted. Talk about a tighta@^.
