I just wonder if people would take a 30% discount on their health insurance if they would allow the managed companies to monitor EVERYTHING about their lives? I think they would. I think the cost is so prohibitive now that there may be a time that customers would let the managed care companies analyze exactly their calorie intake, amount of physical activity they have done, how much they sleep, how much they smoke or drink, who they have sex with, etc. I, Nostradougus, predict this occurs within 5 years. If you think I am crazy, check out how the auto insurer Progressive Corp. will be charging customers base on real-time information about how well they drive. People are volunteering to have a small device plugs into their car's on-board diagnostic computer which can measure when a policyholder uses their vehicle, how far they drive and how hard they brake. For this, customers can get a 30% discount. Why not do the same for humans? Remember, it's not "Big Brother" if you let them do it.
