Nuts Over Nutella

I love the taste of Nutella. I know that a lot of it is not good for me. I haven't had a taste of it in years but I remember back then it had partially hydrogenated oil in it. That stuff was artery crushing. It looks like they changed their recipe and now it is basically sugar, palm oil, cocoa and skin milk. And now some lady in California is suing them! She claims that the company was pushing that this product is nutritious. I can't find those ads. What I found was these claims:

  • Made with skim milk and cocoa.

  • Nutella is a great tasting hazelnut spread that blends fresh hazelnuts, skim milk, and cocoa.

  • Nutella is great on any kind of bread or just by itself.

  • Nutella is kosher.
Not too misleading. The article states that the manufacturer of Nutella touts its cocoa and hazelnut spread as ideal for busy moms trying to "nourish their children with whole grains" and says that "Nutella can form a part of a balanced meal." Yeah, that's pushing it but what will be the outcome of this whole thing? The lady will get them to stop embellishing and the lawyers get a nice check. And life will go on. Can't people just read the label and make some decisions on their own. It really isn't rocket science. Well, except the part about Nutella being kosher.
