The studies are poorly done but there is now a lot of attention being paid to the effects of marijuana smoking on sexual dysfunction. Anecdotally, I find it is a huge issue for ED. You have to remember the men who are having ED issues are in the fifties and sixties and a lot have been smoking weed since they entered the love generation (even though the loving part may be missing now). The first thing I ask about is their weed use and lo and behold a ton of my patients fess up to loving their J bars. It may be the best way to get these guys off the drug. Weed just tends to make everything and everyone lazy. When given a choice between an erection and weed, many of my patients tend to choose the former. And it works.
