A little while back I had blogged about the "Heart Attack Grill". I admired that they were brutally honest on how they advertised their product. With that honesty comes the realization that the obese do have more medical problems, however. Now comes this news item. The 575-pound man who was the spokesman for the Heart Attack Grill has died. The true cause isn't known but friends of the man say it was "from contracting pneumonia after a bout with the flu". There is no evidence, that I know of, linking morbid obesity to respiratory infections. In fact, a recent study may show the opposite. That being said, people will talk and try to link this gentleman's death to his weight. All finger pointing should probably be held back until more information is released. And I was wrong about the hot waitresses working there. I scanned more images taken from real people who have visited the place and they actually do have that, too.
