The LA Times informs us that overweight people with fatty liver disease had improvement in their lab tests and insulin sensitivity after a week of walking on a treadmill for an hour a day. Now all we need is a way to motivate those NAFLD patients to keep doing it. Maybe we could market treadmills as a big advance in weight-loss technology that avoids the operative complications of bariatric surgery and side effects of fen-phen.
