The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has launched a website called Physician Compare. It shows a doctor's name, practice location, phone number, Medicare participation status, gender, any foreign languages spoken, the doctor's education and if he or she successfully participated in Medicare's Physician Quality Reporting System in 2009. Unfortunately, it is filled with misspellings, locality mistakes and other errors. It is all explained in the American Medical News. Once clinic spokesman said, "The lack of effective and timely assistance we have received in response to our questions, as well as the lack of coordination among the entities supposedly involved in the Physician Compare website, is maddening." What? A government run program with these kind of problems? Yup. Actually, that quote basically will sum up all health care in the future.
