It is nice to know that Medicare will still be covering two cancer drugs whose effectiveness is in question. They cost upwards of about $100,000 and the for-profit insurance companies are reviewing whether they will cover it. Hmmmm. Well, we know the answer there. With the FDA removing their approval for Avastin and Provenge you would think that the government may need to reconsider covering them as well. I mean Medicare is going broke....soon. Call it rationing but at some point evidence has to trump emotion. Oops. I showed my ignorance there. I guess with elections coming up you don't want to do that. That's right. Politics trump evidence which trumps emotion.
