The mission of this blog is to connect us back to the roots of medicine. It is about fighting back against those things that are taking us away from the direct care of patients while still pointing out the lunacy and hypocrisy of this job.
How about another ridiculous study? In a recent Archives of Internal Medicine it was found that doctors who work the most hours are less satisfied those who work the least. Wow. Who would have thought that? They also state that really high pay for specialists who work less hours than let's say, family docs, who work longer hours and get little pay, may be more appealing to medical students. Yeah, ya' think? Earth shattering research out of the medical world.
