A study published by the journal Pediatrics states watching a SpongeBob cartoon negatively affected 4-year-olds’ attention spans. Watching Caillou on PBS, however, didn't hurt them at all. When this information was told to one of those 4-year-olds in the study, Jeremy Crown, he responded, "I don't care because Caillou bores the living sh*t out of me".*
This just in, all TV has moved to the high stimuli, fast-paced, choppy style. It is horrible for our brains. Who doesn't know that? Do you think letting Kindergartners' have an Ipad2 is any better? And that is at age 5? Thank goodness my local excessive taxes are paying for it here in Maine.
I say let them watch The Grudge at age 3 and get their damage out of the way all in one shot.
*I lied and made that up.
